Product Details

Our greeting cards are 5" x 7" in size and are produced on digital offset printers using 100 lb. paper stock. Each card is coated with a UV protectant on the outside surface which produces a semi-gloss finish. The inside of each card has a matte white finish and can be customized with your own message up to 500 characters in length. Each card comes with a white envelope for mailing or gift giving.

Artist's Description

While visiting Yellowthroat Wildlife Management Area, about 12 miles south of Ainsworth, Nebraska, I came across a small group of Sharp-tailed Grouse. All of them were hens and they were seeking something to eat in some tall prairie grass. Keeping my distance, they seemed to tolerate me being there. They were gradually moving across the land, seeking food. I would adjust my distance as they moved away, always keeping enough distance not to scare them, yet also in range of my telephoto lens.

After a half hour, they had moved to a barbed wire fence that separates the public land from the private land. On the private land was a hay field that still had some rolled bales of hay from a recent hay cutting. It was at this point where I must have presented some kind of threat to them. This particular hen raised her crest and ruffled some tail feathers to alert the other hens of an impending danger. Then she flew up and positioned herself on the rolled bale of hay, still showin...

Interested in photography since my high school years in the late 60’s, I finally purchased a Nikon SLR in the late 70’s and wasn’t long until I started selling my work. In 1970 I began my electrical career and continued to mix photography into my daily travels. With my successful electrical career coming to a close with retirement in mind, I won’t be one of those persons that retire and wonder what they will do with the rest of their lives. I am sure that I will stay very active with my photography. Photography has blessed me in so many ways, and I continue to be in awe of God’s wonderful work with this beautiful world we live in.
