Description
A beautiful day in February that was warmer than usual, resulted in the frozen-over-lake to thaw just enough to be pushed ashore by a strong wind. The ice was about 4" thick, and most of the larger chunks in the photograph were around 36" in length. The pile of ice was between 60" and 72" high and several hundred feet in length.
This photograph was captured at Nebraska's largest lake - Lake McConaughy just north of Ogallala, Nebraska.

Definitely COOL !!!! Where did you take this?
Bill Kesler replied:
Thanks Mike, this was at Lake McConaughy, just north of Ogallala, NE. My description has more details if interested. It was quite the sight, I can only imagine the rumble that it made.
