Description
Lake McConaughy north of Ogallala, Nebraska had a thin layer of ice along the north beach in early January. As the wind shifted to the north, the thin ice was forced onto the beach, resulting in some unique shards of ice.
How thin you ask? About 1/2” thick. Lake McConaughy is Nebraska’s largest lake.
