Description
On a brisk February morning I started my day out with an early visit to the beaches on the north side of Lake McConaughy.
As I drove onto the beach I could tell that the wind-shaped sand was firm and crunchy. The morning light was coming across the ripples from a low angle providing nice shadows on the west side of the ripples. The top of the ripples were highlighted with a light frost.
I captured a small section of the beach with my camera with the idea that it would make an interesting abstract art.
I made this photograph in February 2013 near Arthur Bay along the north side of Lake McConaughy. Lake McConaughy is located about 12 miles north of Ogallala, Nebraska and is Nebraska’s largest lake.
This photograph has had an artistic filter applied to give it qualities unique to the art of painting.
