UP 844 - Living Legend - White Border metal print by Bill Kesler. Bring your artwork to life with the stylish lines and added depth of a metal print. Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The high gloss of the aluminum sheet complements the rich colors of any image to produce stunning results.

Artist's Description
After a brief stop in North Platte, Nebraska UP 844 starts moving slowly - the steam envelops the mighty locomotive as it passes under a viaduct.
Built in 1944, it was the last steam locomotive delivered to Union Pacific and is the only steam locomotive never to be retired by a North American Class I railroad.
The UP 844 has a wheel configuration of 4-8-4, the drivers have a diameter of 80". This photograph shows the gyrating Mars light just above the headlamp. In 2013, the Mars light was removed due to the mounting bolts failing.
UP 844 is used by Union Pacific for Excursion Service and logs thousands of miles each year.
