Artist's Description

Across the western plains of the Nebraska Sandhills, it is not uncommon to find a thunderhead building in the late afternoon hours. This was a small thunderhead (cumulonimbus cloud) that didn't build up to any size or threat.

The interesting thing about this photograph is that I took ninety-four (94) individual photographs of the eight (8) minute event - then compiled them in the post-processing to actually "breakdown" the building of the thunderhead.

This photograph was made north of North Platte, Nebraska looking to the north-northeast.

This photograph is also available in black-and-white, see my collection titled The Cloudstack Collection.

About Bill Kesler

Bill Kesler

Interested in photography since my high school years in the late 60’s, I finally purchased a Nikon SLR in the late 70’s and wasn’t long until I started selling my work. I am sure that I will stay very active with my photography. Photography has blessed me in so many ways, and I continue to be in awe of God’s wonderful work with this beautiful world we live in. In 1967 country music’s Song of the Year was “It’s Such A Pretty World Today”, performed by the...
