On a brisk winter morning while driving on the sandy beach areas of Nebraska’s largest lake - Lake McConaughy, I paused to admire the frost covered ripples in the slightly frozen sandy beach.
Lake McConaughy is located about 12 miles north of Ogallala, Nebraska. I made this photograph on the north side of the lake near the Arthur Bay area in mid February 2013.

Interested in photography since my high school years in the late 60’s, I finally purchased a Nikon SLR in the late 70’s and wasn’t long until I started selling my work. In 1970 I began my electrical career and continued to mix photography into my daily travels. With my successful electrical career coming to a close with retirement in mind, I won’t be one of those persons that retire and wonder what they will do with the rest of their lives.
