On a cool October morning shortly after the sunrise, Turkey Vultures are seen perched on a gate with their wings spread. The vultures do this to get more body part surfaces exposed to the warm sun.
On this particular morning, there were dozens of Turkey Vultures sitting on the multiple fence posts and this gate - all with their wings spread out. They would stay in this position for several minutes at a time, only moving their head from one direction to the other. It was quite the sight.

Interested in photography since my high school years in the late 60’s, I finally purchased a Nikon SLR in the late 70’s and wasn’t long until I started selling my work. In 1970 I began my electrical career and continued to mix photography into my daily travels.
