Description
The beast was watching me while he continued his afternoon grazing, I could feel the thunder just from his powerful gaze. I didn’t want to show any signs of fear so I put my eye to the eyepiece and snapped away. Even though we were about thirty (30) feet apart, I gladly remained in my vehicle. I couldn’t help but feel some telepathic communication from the beast known as bison, or American Buffalo, or to the Native Indians - Tatonka. I got his message that he wanted me to make the artwork special, something eye-catching, something with an edge.
This photograph has had an artistic filter applied to give it qualities unique to the art of painting.
I made this photograph in late August 2019 in Fort Niobrara National Wildlife Refuge a few miles east of Valentine, Nebraska.

Magnificent image, Bill. What a special memory of feeling "in touch" with this powerful beast! Love the way that created this with the special effects. f/l
