Description
On a mild November morning, driftwood battles hard to be the main subject while a slight breeze ripples the surface of Fremont Slough State Wildlife Management Area east of North Platte, Nebraska.
However, I see so much more than the driftwood and the ripples on the surface of the water. I love the reflection from the blue sky on the water, the many shapes and textures and fall colors of the tall grasses to the many different types of leaves on the trees to the silhouette branches of the tall trees in the far background. How about the two fence posts peeking out of the tall grass. How about the fallen tree that has it's topmost branches extended over the water contrasting nicely with the background where the shadows have cast a dark area on the surface.
I cropped this photograph in a 2:1 ratio for those collectors that prefer this style. My photograph named "Driftwood" is available in a 3:2 ratio, see my gallery named "Landscape".
