Artist's Description
Can you feel the stillness? Can you feel the calmness? You can if you've ever been to a small body of water and the wind was blowing so gentle that it didn't disturb the surface of the water. That's what I had one August morning at Jeffrey Reservoir south of Brady, Nebraska.
Even though the wind wasn't disturbing the surface of the water, the fish were constantly coming to the surface feeding on insects, resulting in concentric ripples from where they breached the surface. I knew I had an opportunity to get the mirror-like reflection and make an interesting work-of-art - but the fish kept coming to the surface. I elected to take numerous exposures and blend them in the post-processing. After many attempts at the blending process, I narrowed the number of exposures down to eleven (11) and I achieved what I was after.

About Bill Kesler
Interested in photography since my high school years in the late 60’s, I finally purchased a Nikon SLR in the late 70’s and wasn’t long until I started selling my work. In 1967 country music’s Song of the Year was “It’s Such A Pretty World Today”, performed by the...
