This mule deer buck was resting in some tall dried weeds one afternoon, and naturally I couldn't get another angle so that the setting sun would illuminate his face so I went with the silhouette, which I think turned out really nice.
This photograph was taken inside Union Pacific's Bailey Yard in North Platte, Nebraska. Bailey Yard is the world's largest railroad classification yard.

Interested in photography since my high school years in the late 60’s, I finally purchased a Nikon SLR in the late 70’s and wasn’t long until I started selling my work. In 1970 I began my electrical career and continued to mix photography into my daily travels. With my successful electrical career coming to a close with retirement in mind, I won’t be one of those persons that retire and wonder what they will do with the rest of their lives.
