Artist's Description

Looking at this aged piece of farm equipment, I can't help but realize how far we have come in a few decades. This piece of farm equipment was designed to be pulled by means of horses or a tractor, whereas nowadays, the modern combine is self-powered, has an air conditioned/heated cab with GPS tracking, not to mention many sensors and devices to inform the farmer about the harvested yield.

This photograph has been post-processed in a sepia tone.

Interested in photography since my high school years in the late 60’s, I finally purchased a Nikon SLR in the late 70’s and wasn’t long until I started selling my work. In 1970 I began my electrical career and continued to mix photography into my daily travels. With my successful electrical career coming to a close with retirement in mind, I won’t be one of those persons that retire and wonder what they will do with the rest of their lives. I am sure that I will stay very active with my photography. Photography has blessed me in so many ways, and I continue to be in awe of God’s wonderful work with this beautiful world we live in.
