Artist's Description

"Just A Minute!" We've all heard and/or used that phrase at some time in our lives.

On the night of September 27, 2015 we experienced a lunar eclipse and a super moon - making it a super moon lunar eclipse. Lunar eclipses only happen a couple of times a year, and they can be partial lunar eclipse or a total lunar eclipse, but for everything to be in alignment for a super moon and a lunar eclipse, well, that is rare. According to the experts, 2033 will be the next time we can witness a super moon lunar eclipse. Super moon is a term given to a full moon or new moon that occurs when the orbit of the moon is closest to earth, making it appear about 14% larger than a regular full or new moon.

A lunar eclipse is when the earth is between the sun and the moon which puts the moon in the earth's shadow. Pretty neat to watch in person.

I made this photograph using five (5) exposures taken exactly one minute apart, then blending them together in the post-processing...

Interested in photography since my high school years in the late 60’s, I finally purchased a Nikon SLR in the late 70’s and wasn’t long until I started selling my work. In 1970 I began my electrical career and continued to mix photography into my daily travels.
