Description
Refined and elegant, these dainty stalks with the arching tips display a carefree dance with the slightest breeze. As the morning brings changing hues of soft light to the small pond, the mirror reflection of the grasses add to the serene and peaceful scene.
On this August morning I was up before the sun, at a selected location with plans to capture the sunrise. As landscape photographers, we have been taught to look around for all the possible spots to shoot from - even to look behind us. That was the case on this day. I had my tripod setup facing east waiting on the sun to emerge on the eastern horizon. It was so peaceful as the light slowly changed. I turned around and looked behind me, and there it was, this small group of grasses that were standing tall in the shallow pond. I grabbed my equipment and changed my location for a quick shoot before the sun came up.
An artistic effect has been added to give a feel of texture and dimension, and featured in "The Slat Collection" by Bill Kesler Photography.

Loving the reflections and the vertical lines of the grass against the horizontal lines of the background l/f

As you know, I really love the collection of work........Love the simplicity of this and how the natural curves and grace of the grass contrasts with the structure of the slats!.....vf
