Description
A herd of elk are seen grazing in an open meadow in the Rocky Mountain National Park not far from the western gateway.
The herd consisted of about twenty (20) cows and several calves and only one (1) bull elk. The bull elk was busy keeping the cows close. Very neat to watch him work the herd.
The bull elk is seen here making the bugling sound that they are known for.
