Wow, Bill, this photograph has been so expertly post-processed that it looks like a hand drawn ink drawing. It's incredibly beautiful and I love the composition, that lone straying wire, actually is the cherry on top.. Fabulous! :-) Maggie

Artist's Description

This fence post is made from a fairly large branch from a tree - not a standard manufactured fence post that is available at your local hardware store. I love to find the old fences that were built with wood branches from trees, to me, they are very photogenic because no two are alike.

This fence post is standing at the bank of the North Platte River north of Hershey, Nebraska. As you can see, the barb wire does not extend past the post, nor does it change directions. With the river's edge just a few feet to the right, I guess it really doesn't need to extend any further.

Looking at the fence post, it has endured a lot over the last several decades. And in doing so, it has acquired some character. I like that in a fence post.

I post-processed this with a high key approach so that the fence and barb wire would not have to compete with objects in the background.

Thank you for your purchase. A Certificate of Authenticity is available from the ar...

About Bill Kesler

Bill Kesler

Interested in photography since my high school years in the late 60’s, I finally purchased a Nikon SLR in the late 70’s and wasn’t long until I started selling my work. I am sure that I will stay very active with my photography. Photography has blessed me in so many ways, and I continue to be in awe of God’s wonderful work with this beautiful world we live in. In 1967 country music’s Song of the Year was “It’s Such A Pretty World Today”, performed by the...
