Description
A proud mule deer doe with her twins enjoying a nice autumn day. This photograph was captured inside Union Pacific's Bailey Yard near North Platte, Nebraska in a small wooded area where the deer make their home. This photograph was taken in October 2008 and at that time there was a population of eleven deer living inside this huge rail yard.

Beautiful autumnal scenery Bill, with the backlight effect and contrasty color tones. I am adding the photo to my Favorites Collection.

Thanks Bill, for bringing new breaths of the wild to us in picture form.
Bill Kesler replied:
You're welcome Laurie. Wildlife and nature are so interesting to me. I got to watch on a daily basis how the mother and twin fawns interacted as the fawns matured those first few months. Thanks for viewing my artwork.
