Description
Across the morning prairie the sun was making it's way over the eastern horizon while a group of low flying white clouds in the west were on the move to the north. That's a lot to absorb, but basically, the sun was at my back while I took seventy-nine (79) images of a windmill. The beautiful hues were in a constant change as the sun made it's way higher in the sky. It was crazy the way the white clouds were absorbing the changing colors while moving across the sky. And then there was that windmill, which was in a locked position, which kept it perfectly still in the breeze.
I made this photograph near Lewellen, Nebraska at Ash Hollow State Park on October 20, 2015. I took the seventy-nine (79) exposures and blended them in the post-processing to obtain this unique look. A look that I call a "cloudstack". You can see more of my "cloudstack" work in my gallery titled "The Cloudstack Collection".

Thank you Karen! You do need the right kinds of clouds, and they need to have some good movement to them. Looking forward to seeing your cloudstack!
