Artist's Description

This mule deer buck was making his way through some tall dried weeds when we met eye-to-eye. I figured he might turn around and head back the direction he came from, but he seemed to be just as curious of me as I was of him.

This photograph was taken inside Union Pacific's Bailey Yard where a dozen or so mule deer make their home in a remote small wooded area. Bailey Yard is located in North Platte, Nebraska and is the world's largest railroad classification yard.

This photograph has had an artistic filter applied to give it qualities unique to the art of painting.

In addition, an artistic effect has been added to give a feel of texture and dimension, and featured in "The Slat Collection" gallery by Bill Kesler Photography.

I am sure that I will stay very active with my photography. Photography has blessed me in so many ways, and I continue to be in awe of God’s wonderful work with this beautiful world we live in. In 1967 country music’s Song of the Year was “It’s Such A Pretty World Today”, performed by the...
