Enjoying a breathtaking sunrise as it is reflected on the smooth surface of Iron Horse Lake, a small lake in North Platte, Nebraska adjacent to I-80.
I took forty-eight (48) individual exposures and blended them together in the post-processing to make this dramatic photograph. From start to finish of the 48 photographs it was a little less than 10 minutes in real time.

"Sunrise Reflected" won 2nd Place in the 2015 Scenic Category of NEBRASKAland Magazine. With over 1,000 entries in five categories, I am truly honored. This photograph is published in the December 2015 issue. NEBRASKAland Magazine is published by the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission since 1926.

Interested in photography since my high school years in the late 60’s, I finally purchased a Nikon SLR in the late 70’s and wasn’t long until I started selling my work. In 1970 I began my electrical career and continued to mix photography into my daily travels. With my successful electrical career coming to a close with retirement in mind, I won’t be one of those persons that retire and wonder what they will do with the rest of their lives.
