Description
In early April 2015 I headed out on a photography adventure at Nebraska's largest lake, Lake McConaughy. I found the beach on the north shore to be vacant so I decided to try my skills of making designs in the sand using my 4-wheel drive vehicle.
First I made a figure eight. It didn't look too bad, so I made another figure eight. I then launched my quadcopter with the GoPro camera attached and took several aerial photographs.
Several hours pass while I have ventured to other parts of the lake taking photographs. I returned to the north shore to see if anyone had driven through my "beach art" - and to my surprise, there wasn't any new tire tracks.
I decided to try making a heart shape with my 4-wheel vehicle. I thought it turned out pretty good for my first-ever attempt.
I launched my quadcopter again and got a photograph of the stylish heart shape. In the upper left corner you can see the two (2) figure eight's I did earlier. (More photographs from this adventure in my gallery titled "Aerial and Drone Photography").
In this photograph, the horizon is bulging from the wide angle view of the GoPro. I could have corrected it in the post-processing, but the more I looked at it, the more I liked it and decided to leave it this way.
